Embracing My Natural Hair: My Journey to Curly Confidence

Hey there, fashionistas! Long time no see, but I'm finally back with some exciting news to share. Today, I want to chat with all of you about my new haircut. It's been a remarkable journey of one year and eight months since I made the decision to embrace my natural hair and bid farewell to dyeing and heat styling. Let me tell you, it's been quite an adventure!

You see, I've been using heat on my hair and coloring it for as long as I can remember. But one day, I decided it was time to honor and celebrate my natural texture. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. I’ll admit, it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. There's a transitional phase where you're still figuring out how to style your hair, and the curls aren't fully cooperating just yet.

But here's the thing—I want to share some advice with all of you considering going natural: stick with it. Trust me when I say it's worth every ounce of effort. Today, I feel like I've graduated and officially become a member of the curly community. Can I get an amen to that? I mean, it's a big deal!

I let my hair grow past my shoulders, patiently waiting for that moment when I felt ready to get a curly cut. And guess what? The day finally arrived! I decided on a Rezo cut with curtain bangs, and boy, let me tell you, the results are incredible. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

Now that I've figured out how to style my curls and make them truly shine, I feel like a whole new person. It's empowering to embrace the natural beauty we all possess and let our hair be a reflection of that. So, without further ado, let me share some pictures of my new 'do. I'd love to hear what you think!

I can't express how thrilled I am to have taken this journey and arrived at this point where I feel confident and proud of my natural hair. It's been a process of self-discovery, patience, and lots of trial and error. But through it all, I've learned to appreciate and love myself just the way I am.

If any of you are contemplating going natural, let my story serve as a reminder that it's a road worth traveling. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the victories, and remember that you're not alone in this journey. The curly community is here to support and uplift each other. A special thanks to @gabywiththegoodhands who helped nurse my hair back to health.

So, my fellow fashionistas, what do you think of my new haircut? Have any of you gone through a similar transformation? Share your thoughts and experiences—I'd love to hear from all of you!

Until next time, stay fabulous and keep embracing your natural beauty!

XOXO,

Leslie
