Love, Music, and Fashion: My Unforgettable Pre-Valentine's Date Night with Marc Anthony
Hey there, fashion lovers! I'm back with an exciting tale of my pre-Valentine's date night that left me on cloud nine! I was so lost in the moment that I even forgot to take pictures! Can you believe that?
My hubby had planned a surprise dinner and a Marc Anthony concert for me. Now, you all know how much I adore Marc Anthony, so I was over the moon when I heard the news. But first things first, I needed to decide on my outfit, and I knew exactly what I wanted - a sweet, feminine look that would make me feel loved.
So, I picked out a stunning two-piece set from Bronx and Banco, that I had purchased on Revolve. It was a rose pink color with a gorgeous paisley design. The crop top had dramatic balloon sleeves, and the harem-style trousers were high-waisted and fitted at the ankles. It was such a comfortable yet sexy look that made me feel like a million bucks. To finish off the outfit, I added a pair of nude pumps and left my hair in its natural curl with winged eyeliner and minimal makeup. I looked and felt pretty as a picture!
Now, let's not forget about my hubby. I styled him in a cream polo from River Island, light khaki joggers from Zara’s, and white sneakers. The colors complimented the paisley design in my outfit, and we looked like the perfect match made in heaven.
We headed to Eddie V’s in New Jersey, where the service and food were exceptional. You can check out the details on my Instagram reel. Don’t forget to follow if you love good food recommendations.
Then, we were off to the concert, and the best part was yet to come. My mother, sister, and grandmother surprised us by joining us at the concert. We're all huge fans of Marc Anthony, and the energy was electric!
The highlight of the night was when Marc Anthony spoke to the right side of the audience and encouraged them to stand up and dance. Suddenly, the camera view shows the back of a red-headed lady with a big red rose - it was my 95-year-old grandmother! I couldn't believe it when he called her out and said bendición. In the Latin culture children and adults greet their parents and elders with “Bendición”. It is considered a Sacred Exchange where one is asking for a blessing and in response, the parent or elder will say, “Que Dios te Bendiga”, which is translated to, “ may God bless you”. It was such an incredible moment for all of us.
And that's not all! The night got even better when my grandmother was invited backstage.
You see, at my wedding, she asked for a dance with me to his song “Flor Palida”. She has always been a fan and has loved his music. So, she made sure to tell him the story when she went backstage. This evening was magical, and we will all cherish it forever. It was the perfect way to celebrate love!
Let me know your thoughts below. I would love to share them with my grandmother. Until next time, stay stylish and keep shining bright!
